Brought Swe-cha to the Optometrist today to get his eyes checked. He's 9 and this is the first visit because, well..., we've been dreading going and I wasn't really ready for the fight.
As it turns out, today was a good day or rather, "these days" is a good time.
Thankfully, his eyes checked out fine and his eyesight is good. He does not need glasses. The best part is that things are much easier now, we can sit down with him for any schedule deviations and new activities, explain what is going to happen and what to expect and he can understand now.
Thinking back, if I had been asked the same time last year if I would be able to bring Swe-cha to a new specialist all by myself, I would not have the confidence to say "Yes". But today, I picked him up earlier than usual ( they had a scheduled half day at school and I took the afternoon off from work ) and brought him to the optometrist and then to the pediatrician for a well-visit.

I dread it too because I feel that they prescribe just for the sake of prescribing, kahit na hindi kailangan.
Pero naisip ko, if mga tiny langgam nakikita nga nila e - yun na yung guage ko. Hahaha!!
